Mara Johnston is Managing Principal at Keystone Global.  She advises clients on strategic growth opportunities, through M&A, key personnel identification, or growing into new markets and regions. Keystone aligns clients with key partners on projects, obtains competitive financing and helps determine the most successful procurement approach. Mara has dedicated her entire career to the build environment and has a strong passion for the construction industry.
 
Mara is also the co-founder and partner at Amaracon Testing & Inspections, LLC. Prior to joining Keystone Global, Mara spent four years at both Zurich and AIG, where she built strong relationships with some of the largest and most influential contractors in North America. Before her entrance into the insurance industry, Mara worked in the Environmental division at STV, preparing EIS and Transportation Feasibility studies and as consultant to Milligan and Company, where she worked with the State of Pennsylvania and contributed to a National FTA study on emergency preparedness.
 
Mara has been elected to the prestigious Construction Industry Roundtable (CIRT) and is on the Board of the NYC Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association. She was awarded the 2022 Top 20 Under 40 Nationally from ENR, 2022 Power Women Long Island, 2021 Top 20 Under 40 from Professional Women in Construction, 2017 Next Generation of Women Builders from the Women Builders Council and on the team for an Innovation Award from Business Insurance in 2016. 

Mara holds her Series 24, 79, and 63 Licenses from FINRA and NASAA, her Insurance Brokers License in the State of New York, and is proficient in Spanish. 
 
She graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a BA in the Growth and Structure of Cities, and holds her Masters Degree from the University of Pennsylvania in City and Regional Planning with a focus on Transportation and Infrastructure.
